Mg continues to achieve strong sales figures on the European market, but it is now its hybrid vehicles (MG3, new ZS and EHS) which are driving its growth. Its 100% electric models (the ZS urban SUV, the MG5 station wagon and the compact MG4) are running out of steam slightly now that they have to deal with competitors who have lowered their prices to improve their competitiveness.
Never mind, MG France is giving back big promotions on its zero-emission models. The MG4 is now entitled to a €8,000 discount, which lowers its base price to 21 990€ instead of €29,990 in the Standard Range version (i.e. 26.67% reduction). The ZS SUV receives an outright €10,000 discount, lowering its base price to €23,990 instead of €32,990 (i.e. 29.4% reduction). Even better, the MG5 is also entitled to a €10,000 discount (from €22,990, or 30.3% reduction!).
No discount on hybrids
However, don't expect any discounts on MG's hybrid models, which a priori do not need one to sell well. It should be noted that the electric MG5 and ZS are at the end of their career, the latter having had a facelift in China. Its new version should arrive in Europe by the end of next year at the latest.
