Organic carrots are being recalled due to possible microbial contamination of “E. coli.

This notice was issued by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency which added, after an investigation, two other products to the recall list.

“The affected products are the subject of a recall from the market because these products could be contaminated by the bacteria ”E. coli” O121,” the CFIA said.

The organic carrots affected by the recall are Bunny-Luv and Cal-Organic brands and are distributed across Canada.

These products, most of which were sold from August 14 to October 23 or from September 11 to November 2, should not be consumed, used, sold, served or distributed.

The products in question are packaged in multiple sizes of 50 lb, 340 g, 454 g, 907 g, 2 x 907 g, 2.27 kg and 11.34 kg, the federal agency said.

Food contaminated with bacteria E. coli O121 do not necessarily show any visible alteration or suspicious odor, but they can still make you sick.

On the other hand, it should be noted that the outbreak of “E. coli” in baby and organic carrots recently caused a death in the United States.
