No, what happened is that Netflix came out, the pirate collapsed, then there was Amazon Prime Video, Disney +, Pamaount +, Apple TV + and so on, each of which is looking to have their excluded, the public is not going to pay for 5 or 6 subscriptions, piracy has started again… then with all this competition and the loss of subscribers, platforms like Amazon Prime added ads to be more profitable and lost subscribers again.
They want it and their money, while the streaming services are digging their own grave wanting more and more money and they're not happy… yet the industry is doing very well, it's not the pirates the problem is the audiovisual industry's endless quest to always earn more and always find excuses.
