After his studies in France, he returned to Mali, trying his hand at entrepreneurship. Today, he actively participates in the financial inclusion of all segments of the African population through his fintech solution Sama Money.

Daouda Coulibaly (photo) is a Malian entrepreneur who operates in the fields of new technologies and digital finance. He is the founder and CEO of Sama Money, a technology company that operates in the money transfer and mobile payment industry.

Founded in 2018, Sama Money’s mission is to promote financial inclusion in Africa. The company offers individuals, businesses and public services a full range of digital payment services. These services include money transfers and withdrawals, payment of electricity and water bills, phone top-ups and payment of insurance policies.

Our multi-operator offering and multiple access channels ensure that our services are accessible to everyone», declares Daouda Coulibaly. Sama Money services are available via web, mobile application, WhatsApp and USSD code, covering Mali, Burundi and Ivory Coast.

Outside of Sama Money, Daouda Coulibaly is the president of the Mali Fintech Association. The latter promotes financial inclusion in Mali, particularly for populations excluded from the traditional financial system. In addition, he founded Malijet.com, an information site, in 2008. He also founded Trainis, a professional training center that he directed until May 2024.

Daouda Coulibaly graduated from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University, where he obtained a master’s degree in regional planning in 2005. He also holds a master’s degree in business administration from IAE France, a federation of 38 university management schools , obtained in 2009.
