The open source CMS Ghost adds a feature that has been requested for a long time by its users: a search tool integrated into its editor capable of adding internal links to other pages or articles on the website.

Until now, if you wanted to link to one of your old articles, you had to open a new tab, visit your website, find the article, copy the URL, and paste it back into the Ghost editor.

As WordPress already offers, Ghost now allows you to create an internal link, directly in the editor. This also works for site pages, tags, and authors. To speed things up even further, just press @ and start typing to quickly find and add a link to any of your articles.

400 publishers tested the function during a beta period. It is now available to all Ghost SaaS customers, via the Ghost(Pro) offer. If you are using the self-hosted open source version, consider updating to have access to the new feature.

Remember that Ghost will join the Fediverse by 2025.
