Every year since 1964, a jury made up of European journalists elects the Car of the Year. For the 2025 vintage, 42 models appeared on the list, there are now only seven to claim this honorary title.

Who will win this event? It is still too early to know. Last year, the Renault Scénic E-Tech won the prize, so it is unlikely that the diamond brand finishes on top again. However, Fiat won the title twice consecutively in 1995 and 1996 with the Punto and Bravo, but this only happened once.
Due to its tight prices and its services, the Citroën C3 has clearly his chancesas well as the Kia EV3 which has with unbeatable autonomy on the segment. Note that the Korean brand won this title in 2022 with the EV6.
The 60 jurors have eight weeks to test these cars, and a comparison is also planned at the Mettet test center in Belgium. Each jury can distribute 25 points, but a maximum of 10 points for a single model, while voting for five of the seven finalists.
The Car of the Year 2025 will be revealed on January 10 at the Brussels show.
