At the start, there is a designer from Lausanne, Claudio D’Amore, who held an online presentation on Monday to explain the future of his brand, CODE41. He trained at the Ecole cantonale d’art de Lausanne (ECAL), drawing everything, until watchmaking crossed his path, when he started working in a studio in London. At one point, he wanted to look at the other side of the product and build a brand. He is now 48 years old and for eight years he has only made his own watches.

When he launched CODE41 in 2016, the project was still pioneering, entirely built on online sales and the digital community. So far, nearly 25,000 watches have been sold, to nearly 20,000 customers from a tribe of 350,000 members.
