A revolution in the skies
This electric-powered two-seater is preparing to carry out its first test flights at the end of this month. A key moment for a start-up established in 2018 which is launching into electric aviation.
The Minister for Transport, François Durovray, recently visited the company in Cugnaux, praising what he described as a “magnificent industrial project”. Flight tests are scheduled for soon, depending on weather conditions.
Economic and ecological impacts
The ambition does not stop at the “Integral E”. Aura Aero is also developing the ERA, a 19-seat hybrid electric aircraft. With a first flight planned for 2026, this project could radically change regional transport. Combining respect for the environment and efficiency, the ERA aims to significantly reduce CO2 emissions.

Funding for these projects was boosted by a significant contribution of €95 million from the European Union Innovation Fund. This is a first for an aeronautical company in the EU, highlighting the importance and potential of this initiative.
Expansion et collaborations futures
In addition to its headquarters in France, Aura Aero plans to expand its operations internationally with a new factory in Daytona Beach, Florida. Scheduled for 2028, this facility is expected to strengthen the company's presence in the US market and facilitate mass production.

The startup has also secured letters of intent with 12 airlines for a total of 570 ERA aircraft. This partnership includes an agreement with JSX, an American regional carrier, for 50 aircraft, announced at the end of 2023.
A vision focused on the future
Aura Aero doesn't just develop aircraft; it aims to transform the aeronautical industry. With a range of up to 1,600 km, the ERA will be able to transport either 19 passengers or 1.9 tonnes of cargo, offering rare flexibility for electric devices.
