The European leader in naval defense plans to recruit 400 people within four years and invest 200 million euros over the next ten years to support the expected increase in workload.
The demand for submarines has never been so dynamic in the world. According to experts from the reference almanac “Combat Fleets”, 6 nuclear ballistic missile submarines (SSBNs) were produced between 2022 and 2023, an increase of 1,200% compared to previous periods (4 in 2020-2021, 2 between 2018-2019 and only one between 2016 and 2017). A total of 13 boats of this type since 2016. Same trend for nuclear attack submarines (SNA), whose production increased by 250% in 2022-2023, to 6 examples (and 21 between 2016 and 2023 ). The same goes for conventionally powered boats (+165%, to 11 in the last two years; 53 since 2016).
