Chaotic scene in front of the arrivals area of Geneva airport, Saturday at noon. Many parked scooters were hit by a car and two people were injured. A motorist born in 1942 was leaving the P2 car park and the barrier had just been raised, when he swerved “for a reason that the investigation will have to determine”, indicates Alexandre Brahier, police spokesperson cantonal.
The vehicle then violently collided with two-wheelers parked at P4, opposite the arrivals exit. One of them was thrown against two pedestrians, born in 1967 and 1991. They were paying for their parking at the automatic pay station. The car ended its course against a wall in the parking lot.
The two affected people were taken to hospital by ambulance. Their vital prognosis was not in jeopardy. In total, eight two-wheelers, the car, as well as street furniture were damaged. Five of these vehicles were taken care of by tow trucks. The remaining four were left there with a business card for their owner to file a complaint, specifies Alexandre Brahier.
