YoLa Fresh: Millions of dollars to revolutionize Moroccan agriculture

Moroccan startup YoLa Fresh recently secured $7 million in pre-Series A funding to transform the agricultural supply chain. This fundraising was led by Al Mada Ventures, with the participation of Algebra Ventures, E3 Capital, Janngo Capital and FMO. Founded in 2023 by Youssef Mamou and Larbi Alaoui Belrhiti, YoLa Fresh stands out for its innovative approach that directly connects small farmers to retailers, eliminating middlemen, reducing costs and food waste.

YoLa Fresh’s model is based on advanced technology to streamline the supply chain. By directly integrating farmers into a connected network of retailers, the start-up reduces the time and costs associated with the distribution of agricultural products. This approach results in increased income for farmers and a significant reduction in food waste.

Currently, YoLa Fresh works with over 1,000 retailers in North Africa, delivering approximately 1,200 tonnes of agricultural produce each month with an impressive retention rate of 85%. The startup has ambitious plans for the future, aiming to expand its operations beyond Morocco by 2026. It also expects to achieve annualized revenue of between $40 million and $50 million in the next two years.

The $7 million fundraising marks a crucial milestone for YoLa Fresh, allowing it to invest in critical technology and infrastructure to support its growth. This funding is also a testament to investors’ confidence in YoLa Fresh’s ability to transform the Moroccan agricultural sector and create sustainable solutions for supply chain challenges.
