The Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) is organizing, from May 26 to 31 in Benguerir, the 9th edition of the International Symposium on Soil Organic Matter (SOM 2024), highlighting the importance of innovation to ensure soil sustainability.

SOM 2024, organized for the first time on the African continent, will bring together renowned international experts around the latest discoveries in relation to soil organic matter, and its role in current ecological challenges.

This 9th SOM 2024 edition offers an opportunity to highlight African researchers and their expertise in the field of agriculture, environmental sciences and soil sciences. In this perspective, the event will highlight its strategic role in African scientific research and soil sustainability, and shed light on the significant contribution of the African continent to global solutions for soil health and climate change.
