(Alliance News) – Webuild Spa announced on Thursday that its subsidiary CSC Costruzioni has won a contract with a total value of more than 302 million euros for a new industrial railway plant in Ticino.

The works, entrusted by the Swiss Federal Railways to the Consorzio Officine Ticinesi OFT led by CSC Costruzioni, will consist of carrying out the preparatory works, such as site installation and excavation, then the construction of the main building, technical buildings annexes and work for exterior spaces.

The start of work is scheduled for the beginning of July 2024 and their completion for the end of 2027, the date on which the new railway industrial establishment will enter service.

CSC, the company indicates in a note, is one of the Webuild subsidiaries that contributes to the group’s growth in key, low-risk and competitive markets, with growing trends in infrastructure investments: from Lane to United States to Clough in Australia, via Fisia Italimpianti and Cossi Costruzioni, specializing respectively in water and tunneling and road maintenance, in Italy.

Webuild shares are down 8.3% to 2.10 euros per share.
