Lesaffre Maroc celebrates 50 years of excellence with the “Master Khebbaz 2024” roadshow

Lesaffre Maroc, world leader in yeast and breadmaking solutions, is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its Baking Center this year. To mark this occasion, the company is launching an ambitious initiative, the “Master Khebbaz 2024” roadshow. This Morocco tour will visit five major cities and highlight the talent and creativity of Moroccan bakers while promoting cutting-edge baking techniques.

“Master Khebbaz 2024” is much more than just a competition. It is a real bakery festival, planned to take place over several weeks. The bakers will have the opportunity to compete against each other, while benefiting from enriching training.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Baking Center, the theme “Master Khebbaz 2024” is inspired by the desire to highlight mastery and excellence in the art of baking. Our event aims to celebrate the exceptional talents of bakery artisans and promote the heritage and tradition of bread making,” said Mr. Anouar Alasri, Managing Director of Lesaffre Maroc.

“We want to show that baking is not just a profession, but an art that requires passion and precision. Our goal is to create a memorable and enjoyable experience for participants and to continue to support and train bakers and the next generations of bakers,” he added.

The roadshow will start in Casablanca, then pass through Agadir, Marrakech, Tangier, Fez and Mohammedia. In each city, bakers will be able to follow training on Lesaffre Maroc innovations and new bread-making techniques, before participating in a local competition. Each participant will be able to put into practice what they have learned and be evaluated by a jury made up of renowned professionals.

The winners of each regional stage will meet in Casablanca for the grand final, where they will be judged on several tests, including the creation of innovative bread recipes. The title of “Master Khebbaz Lesaffre 2024” will be awarded to the baker who has demonstrated the greatest know-how and originality, thus highlighting a celebration worthy of this half-century of excellence in baking.
