Booklink, the literary app created by Angélique Carreno, a psychology student in Clermont-Ferrand, has reached the milestone of 10,000 users. This innovative application allows you to discover new books based on your literary preferences.
Booklink, the literary app created by a young 19-year-old psychology student in Clermont-Ferrand, Angélique Carreno, crossed the milestone of 10,000 users on Saturday October 12.
Launched in June, in Clermont-Ferrand (our article by clicking here), this literary suggestion application is often compared to a “Tinder” of books. It allows users to discover new works based on their literary preferences. It is simple to use: you enter your favorite books and you can “swipe”, scan in good French, and “match”, that is to say match your tastes, to discover new books. And discuss his findings. Booklink won the Student Entrepreneurship Favorite Prize in April.
A short-lived incubator at the Ministry of Culture
And recently, this original idea also led to Angélique Carreno being selected, among other projects supported by the “Pépite” student entrepreneurship network, to participate in an ephemeral incubator at the Ministry of Culture at the beginning of October: “A very nice reward for me. It shows me that my idea is relevant, that it is popular and it also gave me the opportunity to meet great people and continue to develop.” Among the fifteen projects selected, Booklink was the only one from the Pépite Auvergne network.
At ALL IN 2024 in Montreal
Angélique Carreno also had the opportunity to go to Montreal, to the ALL IN 2024 exhibition, thanks to the Office franco-québécois pour la jeunesse (OFQJ), “an enriching experience which strengthened my network and my entrepreneurial skills”.
She was part of the French delegation on the Business France stand at this show dedicated to artificial intelligence which brings together more than 3,000 leaders from the business and technology sectors from around the world, including the best Canadian startups in AI, leading suppliers, government officials, investors and researchers.

Booklink aims, in fact, to offer an intuitive interface and engaging features. As well as a high-performance recommendation algorithm using collaborative filtering and machine learning techniques to analyze user habits and suggest relevant content.
Booklink, an application to meet… books!
For this, in addition to the Pépite network, Angélique Carreno is supported by two local incubators, Le Damier and Busi.
“This milestone of 10,000 downloads is both the reward for all this work for more than a year and an encouragement to continue and see how far I can take Booklink” analyzes the young student, who has just started her third year of degree in psychology at the University of Clermont Auvergne… remotely and obtained a gap year for his studies in pharmacy. The two courses she followed at the start of the adventure.
