“Deep Tech Summit”: Morocco at the continental pole

The first edition of the “Deep Tech Summit” organized by the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) on May 9 and 10 in Benguerir aims to promote Morocco as a continental hub of Deep Tech, underlined Yassine Laghzioui, Director of the Entrepreneurship and Venturing at UM6P.

This scientific event will highlight Moroccan potential in Deep Tech through an exhibition of startups specializing in various technological fields. UM6P, committed to promoting research, has contributed to the emergence of numerous startups thanks to its sophisticated infrastructures and support programs.

The “Deep Tech Summit” seeks to raise awareness about the impact of Deep Tech in vital sectors such as agriculture, healthcare, energy and information technology. It also aims to create an international exchange platform to evaluate Deep Tech in Africa and discuss its challenges and its future.

The main conference will focus on “Deep Tech: The Next Milestone of Transformation in Africa”, and will include panel discussions, lectures and workshops on the attractiveness of technology ecosystems, particularly for women and members of entrepreneurial diasporas .
