Tecnotree, a global digital platform and leader in services relating to AI, 5G and cloud-native technologies, announced its partnership with people+ai, an initiative of the non-profit EkStep Foundation, to join the Open Cloud project Computer (OCC).

The OCC comprises an interconnected network of micro data centers and based on this model, India requires around 10,000 micro data centers to strengthen its computing infrastructure. The network will bring computing capabilities closer to end users, enabling faster processing, lower latency and better data sovereignty. Tecnotree partners with the OCC initiative to define the future of AI in India, deploying an API abstraction layer aligned with telecom standards. This collaboration aims to create a one-stop shop for AI, cloud and 5G services, offering a comprehensive solution to meet the industry’s evolving needs.

This partnership aims to improve the Indian IT ecosystem by creating a network of providers offering accessible and personalized IT resources. The platform shares a collective vision to bring together ecosystems across the world to establish common standards and capabilities for AI, cloud infrastructure, sustainability, trusted AI, cloud computing. and SDN networks.

Besides Tecnotree, various other technology providers are collaborating to meet the growing computing needs. Other participating companies include industry heavyweights such as Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), Oracle, Dell Technologies, Tata Communications, IBM, and more. These partner organizations will act as providers in this compute stack or as customers with a growing compute need.

Nandan Nilekani, co-founder of the EkStep Foundation and co-founder of Infosys, held a closed session with representatives of more than 20 organizations on the preliminary work on creating an IT ecosystem in India, important for creating an interface unique and open for IT infrastructure providers and customers.

Mr. Nilekani said: India’s approach to large-scale technology development is unique. We have successfully unbundled the building blocks to create a population-wide digital public infrastructure across identity, payments and education. We see that India’s ideas in technology are recognized globally. I think now is the time to empower AI to impact every individual and identify India’s own AI use cases. AI will contribute to the reduction of obstacles and large-scale personalization.

Prianca Ravichander, CMO, Tecnotree, said: This OCC initiative not only improves the Indian IT ecosystem but also promotes global collaboration by establishing common standards for AI and cloud infrastructure. Together with other industry leaders, we are committed to meeting growing computing demands. Tecnotree is partnering with the OCC to make this initiative a reality.

We are committed to bringing the benefits of cloud and AI to telecom operators around the world through our digital products and services. We aim to advance the standardization of AI and cloud globally, laying the foundations for a more homogeneous ecosystem. Together, we are laying the foundations that are not only technologically advanced but also inclusive and sustainable, leading us towards a digitally inclusive future.
