Launch of BimoBtech, the first national digital library of construction objects and materials

LLaunched Tuesday May 7, 2024 in Casablanca, BimoBtech is, as its founders specify, a tool where all the worlds of construction are represented, in particular project management, project management, the possibility for the company and the industrial to communicate with each other to successfully design, as well as the construction and operation of buildings.

Indeed, this new platform makes industrialized products available in Morocco available to prescribers and purchasers. BimobTech accelerates the possibility of using BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology, making it possible to convert 2D plans into 3D and subsequently benefit from the possibilities offered by the BIM model and the digital twin. Thus, the platform makes it possible to obtain a rich BIM model with the products actually available.

In his opening remarks, Rachid Khayatey Houssaini, architect and co-founder of BimoBtech, underlined that “BimoBtech arrives at a time of significant digital transformation and responds to the energy transition. The construction sector is certainly lagging behind other sectors in terms of digitalization, but this situation is not exclusive to Morocco: it is a global challenge. Currently, only 20% of architects in Morocco use 3D modeling in their work, and those who wish to integrate objects call on international libraries. With BimoBtech, these products will be within reach of the entire construction family. Over a period of six months, we designed a multitude of objects accessible in Morocco, which are now available via this new platform for architects.

“This is the first digital library dedicated to BIM objects and construction materials in Morocco. This platform structures the products of the national market and as an architect, BimoBtech will facilitate the prescription in Morocco and contextualize all the projects designed by ourselves, especially everything linked to the monitoring of the site and the operation of the model subsequently. The main objective is obviously to structure the construction market in Morocco and to give more visibility to our industrialists,” explained Chaimae Bassit, architect and co-founder of BimoBtech.

This platform allows Moroccan industrialized products and objects to be listed, exhibited and prescribed all over the world. It should be noted that BimobTech has entered into an agreement with the CIH Bank group and the Sanlam insurance company to promote the construction ecosystem and give visibility to Moroccan industrialized materials and products available locally. BimoBtech has also developed a framework partnership agreed with the Hassania School of Public Works for cooperation aimed at training members who constitute, today and tomorrow, the BIM technology ecosystem in Morocco.
