Requiring an investment of 11 million euros (M€), this new project, subject of the agreement initialed by the president of Midparc, Hamid Benbrahim El Andaloussi and the president of the commercial unit of Trelleborg Aerospace, Grodon Roper, in presence of the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Ryad Mezzour, will be established on an area of ​​7,800 m² of land, including 5,100 m² of building and will create between 150 and 200 direct jobs.

Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Mezzour underlined the importance of this partnership agreement for the development of the aeronautical industry ecosystem in Morocco.

This is the first time that a Swedish investor specializing in the manufacturing of sealing systems for the aeronautics sector has set up in Morocco, noted the minister, noting that this contributes to strengthening Morocco’s industrial competitiveness. , while promoting significant local integration.

For his part, Mr. Benbrahim El Andaloussi, was delighted to welcome the Trelleborg group to Midparc. “The Trelleborg group brings us ‘differentiating technologies’ in polymer techniques. Its purpose is to protect aeronautical equipment, engine equipment, electronic equipment, to ensure the safety of aircraft and for greater sustainability,” he maintained.

This investment is further confirmation of the growing importance of the national aeronautical base, now positioned as a key player at the gates of Europe, said Mr. Benbrahim El Andaloussi.

For his part, Mr. Roper expressed his satisfaction at the idea of ​​contributing to the Moroccan aerospace infrastructure which is booming, highlighting its unique character shaped over the last two decades.

The new factory will strengthen Trelleborg’s position as a key supplier to major aircraft manufacturers such as Boeing and Airbus, he said, emphasizing the importance of also supporting Safran, a partner that has already invested massively in the region.

Specializing in technical polymer solutions, the Trelleborg group was founded in 1905 in Sweden. It has 30 R&D centers and employs more than 15,600 people on more than 100 sites, spread across 40 countries.
