African Sovereign Investors Forum: focus on sustainable development and economic impact

The African Sovereign Investors Forum (ASIF), launched in 2022, is preparing for its highly anticipated annual gathering. A major event on the African calendar, the Forum has for three years brought together participants from across the continent as well as their main partners.

Scheduled for June 10 and 11, the event will be hosted by the Mauritius Investment Corporation Ltd, in Mauritius, and will have the theme: “Sustainable development: Navigating transitions, catalyzing opportunities and driving impact”.

The challenges of reducing carbon emissions and the energy transition, as well as the possibilities offered by financial markets to promote sustainable and inclusive growth in Africa, will thus be highlighted. The discussions will be moderated by leading representatives of ASIF member sovereign funds, international and regional financial players, as well as Mauritius institutions.

Note that the ASIF platform was launched in Rabat by the Ithmar Capital fund, initiator of the creation of the Forum, and that it counts among its members around ten of the largest sovereign funds in Africa.
