According to figures from the Association of Vehicle Importers in Morocco (AIVAM):

– For VP (private vehicles)cumulative sales amount to 109,848 unitsa slight increase in 3,51% year-on-year.

– For LCV (light utility vehicles)cumulative sales amount to 13,102 unitsup by 16,10% year-on-year.

During the month of September 2024, 14,398 units were sold, an increase of 22,57% compared to September 2023, where 11,747 units had been spent. According to AIVAM, this significant increase is mainly explained by a very favorable base effect. Indeed, “September 2023 was strongly impacted by the Haouz earthquake which occurred at the beginning of the month”.

Sales of passenger cars increased by 24,97%, with 12,684 units sold in September 2024 against 10,150 units in September 2023.

Sales of LCVs increased by 7,33%, with 1,714 units sold in September 2024 against 1,597 units in September 2023.

Dacia at the top of sales

Dacia ranks as usual at the top of sales, with 3.503 VP sold in September 2024, recording a significant increase in 27,62% compared to September 2023.

Renault et Hyundai occupy 2nd and 3rd place respectively, with 1.944 VP (+15,33%) et 1.002 VP (+7,90%) sold in September 2024.
