And brand new business opened in downtown Revel: the Casa Pizza Calzone pizzeria. At the helm of this restaurant, the Revelois Kais Ben Chargui.

This premises formerly housed the Dietplus health food brand. After four months of work, the establishment was able to welcome the public on Tuesday September 3, 2024, with a room including eight seats and a takeaway service.

Halal and homemade pizzas

As the name of its restaurant indicates, Kaïs primarily offers pizzas, including breeches (puffed pizzas with the dough folded on itself, editor’s note).

All are halal et homemade. These Italian specialties are concocted with fresh produce and, as much as possible, local. The restaurateur’s guideline is simple: prioritize quality. “Before my training as a pizza maker, I bought a sheeter to roll out the dough. In the end, I never used it, it kills our work. I do everything by hand», tells the manager Voice of Midi Lauragais.

A special recipe

Kaïs also wanted all pizzas have mozzarella. “Some people cut with Emmental for financial reasons, but real pizza is eaten with mozzarella,” he says.

A small detail makes the difference. If some pizzas are with tomato or cream, as we see everywhere, others have a unique homemade base: vegetables (tomatoes, onions and garlic) grilled on the barbecue.

For certain recipes, Kaïs even inspired by its originsfrom Morocco. It also offers sweet pizzas Mars, Snickers, Kinder or even milk chocolate.

A dream come true

Catering was a childhood dream. Kaïs arrived in around thirty years ago for his studies. After training in catering, he worked for 18 months in a three forks restaurant(a gastronomic distinction, editor’s note) alongside his Deug of modern letters.

That’s when I realized I had a gift. I had the organization, the efficiency, the endurance… I said to myself: “If one day you can have your business, go for it!” »

Finally, Kaïs was a forklift driver for almost 25 years. Ten years ago, he and his siblings settled in Revel. It was not until she was 48 that Kaïs realize his dream. “This location was the opportunity to take. I did training as a pizza maker I graduated in July and since I have my restaurant, I give my all to myself“, he said, smiling.

Offers and low prices

There, it’s also the den of good deals! The price of pizzas does not exceed €14 and many offers are offered. Among them, the youth formula intended for those under 27: for any pizza purchased, a can is offered .

Older people can also benefit from certain advantages: two 33 cl drinks offered for 25 € purchase, a free 1.5 liter bottlefor 38 € purchase, and two 1.5 l bottles for 50 € purchase. And for each order on site, coffee is offered.

Paninis and croque monsieur

It is also possible to opt for totally personalized pizza or the pizza duo useful for those who hesitate between two tastes. The menu doesn’t just stop at pizzas, there are also paninis and sandwichfor children.
