For the third time in a few weeks, a building was engulfed in flames in Elgg (ZH) during the night from Saturday to Sunday. This time, the fire broke out in an isolated shed where wood chips were stored. “To combat the outbreaks that continued to form, the building had to be largely demolished using a crane,” Zurich cantonal police said in a press release published Sunday morning. The material damage is estimated at “several tens of thousands of francs”. No injuries were reported.
