As obesity becomes a major public health problem, Nestlé investors are calling on the group to limit its sales of unhealthy foods. A coalition of shareholders led by the NGO ShareAction has tabled a resolution to demand real commitments, which will be submitted to a shareholder vote on Thursday. The text calls for Nestlé to set a time target to increase the proportion of its sales of healthier products. The Ethos Foundation, which advises pension funds in the management of their assets, recommends supporting this resolution.
