news – In an interview given to the program “Sept à Huit” on TF1, the former French international second row confided in the affair affecting his son Hugo

It has been five days since Hugo Auradou and Oscar Jegou returned to France. Still accused of rape by a 39-year-old woman during the French team’s tour of Argentina, the two players are waiting for the dismissal request made by their lawyers to be examined by the Argentine justice system. Since the beginning of the case, the Pau player and the Rochelais player have denied any assault and claimed that the sexual relations were consensual.

In an interview with the show “Sept à Huit” on TF1, David Auradou, Hugo’s father and former second row of the French XV, spoke about the affair affecting his son: “In my deepest conviction, I know that my son is innocent, because he is my son. He never lies. He has other faults. If he had really been an idiot, he would not have been so convincing. That is a certainty.”

The former Stade Français player, now a coach in Suresnes, in the suburbs of Paris, explained what his son’s first words were after he was charged with rape: “He’s almost in tears but he’s staying strong. He doesn’t understand, he’s incredulous and he says to me: ‘Dad, dad, dad, believe me, everything you’re going to hear, everything we tell you about(…) - 20minutes
