Moulayrès. An immersive musical reading of the book “The Grapes of Wrath”

A musical reading inspired by the novel by John Steinbeck, hosted by Jérémy Arcelin and accompanied on guitar by Cyril Therras, will be presented on Saturday January 18 at 7 p.m. at the Salle des Fêtes in Moulayrès.

How to adapt a 600-page work for an intimate scene? The objective is not to summarize this fresco, but to reveal essential themes, exploring social struggles and human dignity. An old suitcase opens, reveals a book, unfolds and becomes a table. A chair, a guitar… And the story comes to life to the sound of words and strings.

Organized by the Yaku Kawsay association and Pinok'Compagnie. This suspended moment promises a vibrant immersion, where narration and music respond to each other. Entrance is free, with a contribution “in the hat” to remunerate the artists. For gourmets, a small restaurant will offer roasted camembert and peasant bread.
