Working with your office dog is possible in certain companies. In France, 9% have chosen to accept their employees' animals, under conditions.
-In a large communications agency, everyone knows Stan, a Golden retriever that Isabelle Harlé, purchasing manager, has been bringing to the office for more than two years. “When he hears me hang up from my meeting, he comes to say hello”she confides. “All my colleagues ask for Stan when I don’t take him”adds Isabelle.
In a cozy working atmosphere where employees are focused, Stan reduces the pressure. In this company, dogs can only move around on a leash, and are allowed up to one per floor. To bring back their four-legged companion, employees must reserve their place in advance on a schedule.
This policy, approved by 80% of staff, allows dog owners who wanted to remain teleworking since confinement to return to the premises. It is even an argument for those who apply to the company. However, people with allergies and phobias are considered priorities and communication remains friendly with their fellow dog owners. Today, only 9% of companies allow dogs in the workplace.
