Thursday January 16, the Maison Service (MFS) in Uzès was inaugurated in the presence of, among others, the prefect of Jérome Bonet and the sub-prefect of Gard, Anne Levasseur. “We opened on December 3 and already 400 people have passed through. We can be proud of this service center which will be used and which will perhaps be expanded one day. We left for that “, welcomes Jean-Luc Chapon, mayor of Uzès.

Grouping of eleven public services

This public services house brings together eleven services: health insurance, family allowances (Caf), old age insurance, the Agricultural Social Mutual (MSA), justice, the National Agency for Secure Documents, the Post Office, France renovation , France work, energy check and public finance.

“LMembers of the public can benefit from 1.5 hours of free parking to come and complete their procedure for free. This permanent house in both Uzès and Lussan will meet expectationss nshadows of our fellow citizens. It is also a subject sometimes the feeling of distance from public services but also from the digital divide. L“The State supports us with €45,000 the first year”, explains Fabrice Verdier, president of the CCPU.

Setting up the MFS means allowing meetings between residents and professionals. Everyone gains autonomy and that’s a plus for everyone,” explains Sophie Marinopoulos, elected delegate to the Global Territorial Convention.

I am delighted to inaugurate this 32nd MFS du Gard. This is neither an alibi nor a gimmick. I am extremely attentive to any initiative that could result in a public service being reduced or closed. This openness is not compensation. It's not a gadget because they are popular and they solve a whole bunch of problems ” underlined Jérôme Bonet, prefect of Gard.

“We're starting to have people and that allows us to have a fixed point because once a month, people forget and it's very long whereas once a week, it's much easier ” rejoices Jean-Marc François, mayor of Lussan.
