Agen dominated Brive this Thursday, during the 17th day of Pro D2.
Agen beat Brive (39-26) Thursday evening at the opening of the 17th day of Pro D2, temporarily moving up from 13th to 10th place in the standings, tied with his evening opponent.
Reduced to 14 after the expulsion of their pillar Hans Lombard-Buret, author of a dangerous tackle (23rd), and led 19-5 in the 24th minute, the Agenais reversed the situation, taking the lead (26-19) at the end of a first half with seven tries, including four for the SUA, before taking off (39-19). A late attempt by the Basques, flattened and transformed by their replacement opener Thomas Dolhagaray (79th), changed nothing.
The 17th day continues on Friday with in particular the expected clash between the leader, Grenoble, and Provence Rugby and its new Welsh star George North.
