Audrey Tautou reveals her world in the book “Superfacial” – Select

Audrey Tautou publishes a photographic book entitled “Superfacial”, a visual introspection retracing 25 years of cinematographic career.

This work explores the multiple facets of the actress through humorous and spontaneous photographic stories, combining self-portraits, filming archives and memories collected during her travels.

A career marked by emblematic roles

Audrey Tautou began in 1999 with “Venus Beauty (Institute)”which earned her the César for Most Promising Actress. She achieved international fame in 2001 with “The Fabulous Destiny of Amélie Poulain”directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet, where she plays a luminous heroine who left her mark on generations of spectators. She found Jeunet in 2004 in “A long engagement Sunday”where she delivers a touching performance in a romantic drama.

In 2006, Audrey Tautou crossed borders by participating in international productions, notably « Da Vinci Code » alongside Tom Hanks. His role in the biopic “Coco before Chanel” in 2009, supported by Warner Bros, strengthens his image as a cultural icon.

An artistic and personal introspection

In « Superfacial »Audrey Tautou deconstructs her public image. Through self-portraits and photographs of 500 journalists captured during the promotion of her films, she offers a reflection on her journey. The photos illustrate a personal artistic quest, exploring the nuances of her profession as an actress.

Fidelity and artistic diversity

Audrey Tautou also distinguished herself by her loyalty to certain directors, collaborating on several occasions with Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Pierre Salvadori et Cedric Klapisch. She is also illustrated in works signed Michel Gondry, Tran Anh Hung or the Foenkinos brothers, exploring a wide range of cinematographic styles.
