We are thinking in particular of the latest book by Franck Thilliez, a French writer to whom we already owe numerous thrillers, such as The Rift or even Puzzle. A captivating plot

For this new novel, Franck Thilliez takes us to the heart of the Canadian cold, but also to the French region of Lyon. We thus discover the story of Teddy Schaffran, detective and criminologist in Lyon, who learns that the body of his daughter was discovered in a very isolated mining town in the Far North of Quebec, in Norferville. Her daughter, Morgane, was brutally mutilated and abandoned in the snow near an indigenous reserve. Faced with this tragedy, Teddy drops everything to go there, and tries to understand what happened. There he meets Léonie Rock, a police officer involved in the case, who returns to this city of the past which broke her so much. On the program: two destroyed destinies, in search of answers, who will come face to face with the true nature of men, sometimes too cruel to be real.
