This November 12, 2024, Princess Anne of Bourbon of the Two Sicilies, sister of the Duke of Castro, presented her new book “And the waves cried Basheba”. Princess Anne had chosen Bernard Depoorter's impressive silk flower factory to meet her readers and friends. Princess Delphine of Belgium was also present.

Princess Anne of Bourbon-Siciles dedicates her fourth novel
It was in the winter garden of Bernad Depoorter's factory in Wavre, Belgium, that Princess Anne of Bourbon of the Two Sicilies presented her new book this Tuesday. Installed among the presses, embossers, molds and cookie cutters used to reproduce plant ornaments, Princess Anne signed her book “And the waves cried Basheba”.

Princess Anne of Bourbon of the Two Sicilies, descendant of King Ferdinand II of the Two Sicilies, is the sister of Prince Charles, Duke of Castro, current head of the royal family. Princess Delphine of Saxe-Cobourg, Princess of Belgium, was also present this Tuesday. The Belgian royal family and the royal family of the Two Sicilies are very close. The Duke of Castro is a friend of Prince Laurent who was a witness to his marriage to Camilla, then he became the godfather of their eldest daughter, Princess Maria Carolina. Princess Delphine and Princess Anne are also distant cousins, both descendants of King Ferdinand I of the Two Sicilies.

“And the waves cried Basheba” is an intriguing family story, which mixes secrets and betrayals. This book is itself a family collaboration since she was able to count on the artistic talents of one of her nieces, Princess Maria Chiara, to illustrate the cover of the book published by the Trois Colonnes.
Bernard Depoorter is a successful fashion designer. Today he is experiencing a great adventure with the floral ornaments from his factory which are also exhibited to the public in Wavre.
