The Children's Book Fair wants to give children a taste for reading

Connect children with those involved in literary creation – authors, illustrators, publishers, etc. – in order to give them a taste for readingsuch is the ambition of the Oyonnax Children's Book Fair. The 2nd edition will be held from Wednesday November 13 to Sunday November 17, 2024, at the Aragon cultural center.

On the program:

• From Thursday November 14 to Friday November 15, authors and illustrators will meet children in primary, middle and high school classes, but also in early childhood structures and social centers
• From Saturday November 16 to Sunday November 17, a big party of Books for young people will be organized at the Aragon cultural center

For children and adults

Children will be able to meet the authors, participate in creative workshopslisten to readings, attend shows or cinema screenings related to the book. Twenty-three authors, five publishers, as well as the Buffet bookstore will participate in this show.

Entertainment is also planned for adults :

• A conference “Impact of screens on young people: why is reading essential? », Wednesday November 13 at 6:15 p.m., at the cultural center cinema
• Training “Reading aloud through kamishibaïs”, Friday November 15 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. then from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
