450 authors on one side, two teams of 15 players on the field on the other. This Friday, November 8, the world of Pro D2 and literature meet at the Brive book fair. An unmissable event for readers from Corrèze and beyondthe 42nd edition of the book fair is held partly on Guierle and at the Espace des 3 Provinces. Not far from there, the CAB plays at home and this is no coincidence. The club made the request itself to the National Rugby League.
10,000 spectators expected
The Stade Amédée Domenech will hear the cacophony of supporters resounding louder than usual. 10,000 seats were sold for the match between CAB and Colomiers. A craze notably driven by the Book Fair less than two kilometers away.
In the stands, some may recognize their favorite author. “It seemed natural to me to build relationships, especially since I love rugby”supports the commissioner of the fair François David. He confides that authors have called him to get places. “There are those who come because they want to feel the atmosphere, those who have never seen a rugby match. And those who are also CAB fans!” The mystery hangs over the name supportive authors.
France 2 commentator and journalist Matthieu Lartot will even give the fictional kick-off for CA Brive / Colomiers at 9 p.m. At the same time, during the weekend, he will sign his book “We do not amputate the heart” Saturday and Sunday at the fair.
