Influenced throughout his life by his two grandfathers, one director of the newspaper L’Événement founded by Victor Hugo, the other hero of the 14-18 war, Gérard Chevalier was successively a painter, decorator, architectural model maker, actor, director, screenwriter and will be one of the many authors present at the book fair this Sunday, November 10 at An Dour Meur.
He became the author of detective novels in 2008. His first work “Here ends the earth” won the Grand Prix du livre Produced in Brittany, the International Prize for the island novel in Ouessant, the second Prize for the Goëland Masqué. In July 2023, Gérard Chevalier’s first fantastic subject “Spell of Nothingness” appears, a tribute to Neanderthal man. Invited to the show “Rembob’INA”, where the soap opera “The Tibetan Bell” is presented, in which he plays one of the main roles alongside his friend Coluche, Patrick Cohen presents the book which wins unanimous support. Finally “A Thousand Lives for Laughs”, memoirs of a gugousse, published in March 2024, is a work which retraces my life journey with countless humorous anecdotes since my childhood, and my meetings with celebrities from all walks of life, specifies the author.
