Colleville-Montgomery. Ten selected for the “Colleville en dix lire” prize

Thursday evening, around fifteen readers gathered around Marc Véron, head of the media library, and Béatrice Pesnel, at the initiative of the annual “Colleville en dix lire” readers’ prize. Objective: to establish the list of works in contention.

“I selected 28 titles from those from the literary season. They will take you to many countries. It’s a mix of well-known authors and first novels, recalled the literature enthusiast. Together, we will choose ten to read during the year and, in June, we will award the prize by a vote in which all library users will be able to participate. »

Long Island by Colm Tóibín, Irish author, presented with enthusiasm by , also a volunteer, aroused great interest from all the participants. Nine other works were selected, most often winning the majority of opinions.

The complete list is available at the library. “All will be offered in two copies with the help of the Des vaguees et des mots bookstore in Ouistreham,” said Marc Véron.
