The Festival of in the West in Cesson-Sévigné rewards three authors

This year, the Livres à l’Ouest festival took place in the Town Hall park on October 13, 2024. Many activities were planned such as calligraphy, a science workshop, bookbinding, dictation, escape game, board games, book sale… The clearance sale is what attracts the most people recognizes Karen Sennelier, member of the jury and of the association of the same name, who officiated in replacement of Bertrand Colleu, its president. Tough discussions

The afternoon was devoted to the authors selected for this 10e edition of the Mots de l’Ouest prize, which brings together authors from the region and works published during the year. They interacted with the public before the awards ceremony: six novels, six thrillers and seven comic books competed.

Were awarded: The drums of the soul by Marc Ledret in the novel category, The crime of the passenger by Cathie Louvet in the thriller category and I’m going but I’m afraid by Clarisse Cremer and Maud Benezit in the comics category. The choice of the winner in the comics category, in this case the two co-authored winners, was the subject of heated discussions within the jury recognizes one of its members. The organizer paid tribute to Marc Levret, the winner of the novel category, who died two years ago . The day concluded with a signing session.
