This year, the association “The book, an adventure” is organizing its first book festival in Lalbenque, from Friday October 11 to Sunday October 13. Echoing Pink October, women will be highlighted during an opening evening entitled “A fleurs d’elles” and during the writers’ lounge.

The opening evening will take place this Friday 11 at 6:30 p.m. (at the hall) with a moment of sharing between music and poetry. This evening will resonate with “women’s voices” heroines or muses with the participation of the “Let’s Play with Words” writing workshop and readings of authors’ texts around “Woman in all her facets, in all her states of mind.” Magali Dubreuil Bourguet, guest of honor at the writers’ salon, will discuss her literary journey and offer the reading of extracts from her novels.
The next day, the writers’ fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the village hall and will allow signing meetings with around thirty authors of local novels, feel good, historical, detective, youth… This year, the he guest of honor of the festival, Magali Dubreuil Bourguet whose bestseller “Because to die you have to be alive” has sold several thousand copies and translated into several languages, will come to present to us her very latest novel, “ I write so that you listen to me”, an inspiring novel, written this summer, immersed on the road to Compostela.
The famous Pivot Dictation
On Sunday, the village hall at 3 p.m., the association will offer lovers of the French language the opportunity to participate in the famous and no less timeless “Dictée de Pivot”, in homage to the latter. The Dictation will be followed by a correction explained live.
