The elected representatives of the youth commission and the municipal children’s council are organizing, for the first year, an “Empty your room”.
Small furniture, decoration, toys, books and small childcare equipment will be presented to visitors.
“We want to educate children about reuse. We invite them to put back into the circuit the toys they no longer use,” underlines Sandrine Huffenus.
Doctor Doudou de Kervignac will be present all day. “She collects old stuffed animals and comforters, repairs them and offers them for adoption. The children have already collected a large number of soft toys,” indicates Sandrine Huffenus.
The funds collected during the event will be redistributed to the Marpa rural reception center for the elderly and will also be used to finance youth outings.
Last year, the municipal children’s council had already organized a solidarity action by collecting toys and books which were then given to the Restos du coeur.
