The 3e edition of the writers’ lounge in Lalbenquein the Lotorganized by the association “A book an adventure”, will take place on Saturday October 12, 2024 in the village hall from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. This writers’ fair will allow signing meetings with a thirty authors local novels, feel good, historical, poetry, detective, youth…

Women in the spotlight

This new edition will highlight women.

Notably Lydia Gaillet and her novel “On Reprieve” in which two childhood friends meet again, a story which sounds like a cry for help. Laurence Koess, in “Through the Silences”, offers a trilogy on relationships of influence, written with gentleness and truth which opens the way to resilience and gives hope. Colette Brognart in “La déhistoire”, on the world of spectacle, handles humor with ferocity and cuts with a scalpel a society which was not created for women and where they must invent themselves and constantly struggle. A work that is a precursor to the changes that are taking place: to read and meditate. And many other authors to discover.

The guest of honor at the Lalbenque show

This year the guest of honor, Magali Dubreuil Bourguet will come to present her latest novel, “I write so that you listen to me”, an inspiring novel, written this summer while immersed on the way to Compostela. Mag.B. writes “uplifting and inspired” resilience novels. She talks to us about us, about life, by tackling difficult or taboo subjects with delicacy, tenderness and a lot of kindness, thus making her stories lighter without ever falling into pathos but on the contrary giving us wings. She sows hope through emotions and escape through travel, art and spirituality. His bestseller “Because to die, you have to be alive” has already sold several thousand copies, reached its fifth edition in just over three years and already translated into several languages.

Towards a book festival

This year, the fair is even becoming a festival, with other events organized in parallel with the writers’ fair: Friday October 11, 2024 at 6:30 p.m., opening evening, “music and poetry” at the Halle de la Mairie and Sunday October 13 at 3 p.m. “La dictée de Pivot” in the village hall.
