The 4th Rodez artist’s book biennial, organized by Art’in folio, will be held at the village hall on November 9 and 10.
Many events are linked to it: exhibitions, activities, educational workshops or conferences on site or outside the walls. The Olemps media library is making its contribution by exhibiting 20 artists’ books from the department’s collection and made available by the departmental media library.
As part of the departmental council’s artistic and cultural education routes, the town’s two schools will be associated with the project.
In connection with the collection of artists’ books exhibited on site, students will be invited to create a poetry notebook (haiku) from the creation of the paper to the typography, including the printing of their illustrations. Several speakers will guide the schoolchildren (Olivier Guimbert, graphic designer, Eve Mallot, visual artist and Gérard Truilhet, typographer). The notebooks will be bound and exhibited in the media library in spring 2025.
The exhibition, for its part, is visible until January 4, during the opening hours of the media library.
