How was the Thoréfoliivres association formed?

The association was created in 2012 by Élisabeth du Baret, a Thorefoléan publisher accompanied by a small group of people interested in the book, wishing to share this interest with the public.

Why did you create this book fair?

The goal is to highlight literature, mainly children’s literature. This allows direct contact of children and the public with book professionals.

Why a show open only to independent children’s publishers?

It allows independent publishers to make themselves known. Among them there are often new publishers, creators, authors and designers who are embarking on the book adventure. This meeting allows them to explain, enlighten and introduce the public to the entire process of making the book.

What’s new for this 12e edition?

The show is opening this year to “adult literature”, in this case to more publishers and authors of crime fiction, thrillers, science fiction and fantasy. Illustrators will also be present. Finally, we wanted to make the show more attractive, particularly to children, by organizing a escape game in connection with the media library and an exhibition of photos of children from the leisure center.

Sunday October 6from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., brilliance room, children’s book fair, free entry.
