On Saturday September 28, 2024, Odakim hosted the fourth edition of the A la fo’livres fair. Organized by the Créations Libres Livres association, dear to Isabelle Beaujean and Laurence Dubranle, this show, which was placed under the sign of positive thinking, brought together around thirty authors who work in traditional or traditional publishing houses. who self-publish. Detective novels, poetry, essays, there was something for everyone.

“In the opinion of everyone, authors and visitors alike, this fourth edition was a great success. Everyone left satisfied and that’s the main thing. The exhibition of photos by Gilles Guillemain and pastels by Jean-Michel Lauret brought an extra touch to our living room”notes Laurence Dubranle, kingpin of this demonstration. Just like the ten minutes of literary escape offered by François Claude, from the back seat of vintage vehicles parked in front of the Odakim, which were acclaimed and aroused great enthusiasm.

On the sidelines of this show, Laurent Vitureau hosted a conference on the art of dreams as a tool for transformation while Didier Duchiron, former head of detention at the Saint-Maur central station, spoke of his sometimes enlightening encounters through his book Behind the walls. Finally, Valérie Baud, an author attached to human and intimate values, had the privilege of closing this show during a literary café focused on the notion of freedom and its borders.
