Vouillé book space: (re)discovering reading

The municipal book space of Vouillé responded to the invitation, “even late”from the Ministry of Culture, which had decided to organize the first edition of what was called Biblis en Folie, dedicated to activities in media libraries and libraries, around books. To this end, that of Vouillé proposed two sequences of readings, visits to the site, one on Saturday September 28 and the other on Sunday September 29, 2024. Certainly, the public may not have flocked to this space , directed by Brigitte Puthon, advisor responsible for cultural life, surrounded by several of the 14 members who assist her, but several families came to discover or rediscover the configuration of the library. The opportunity to see, for example, the new layout of a small room for teenagers, “ place of cocooning, relaxation and discussion and reading”, without forgetting recently purchased books or the space reserved for little ones.

After this edition, the book space resumes its “normal” activities, the opening of this space being Monday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. . But meetings with authors, once or twice a month, are also organized. This Thursday, October 3, Claude Couliou, who also runs the writing workshop in this same room, will talk about his new novel, The proclaimed peaksand on Thursday, October 17, Pierre Renverseau will offer his “truant readings”, dramatized readings around autumn, in the town hall.
