You could perhaps come across a film crew in the streets of or elsewhere in New Aquitaine in the coming weeks. Filming of the TV film inspired by the investigative book “The Gravediggers” began Thursday and will continue until October 24 in the region.

The broadcast date on 2 of the TV film called “The River Banks” has not been revealed, but France Télévision has clarified the synopsis. It will center on Alice, played by Élodie Bouchez, a veterinarian in her fifties who is confronted with the mysterious and sudden death of her mother shortly after placing her in a residence for the elderly.

His uncle Jacques tells him he is moving into the same residence. She then begins an investigation and will be helped by a journalist.

After “The Gravediggers”, a new investigative book

Released in 2022, “Les Fossoyeurs” imploded the Orpéa group by revealing mistreatment of residents but also abusive use of public funds and failings in personnel management. Former leaders are still the subject of legal proceedings today.

Two years after this investigation, the journalist Victor Castanet published a new book in mid-September “Les Ogres” which this time denounces the abuses of certain large groups of private daycare centers.
