Cultissime, the new international festival of cult works, has revealed the first winners of its prizes. Three works were eligible, without distinction of genre, published in French and distributed in French-speaking bookstores between May 1, 2023 and June 30, 2024. A literary adaptation was also distinguished.
The jury was made up of members of the Cultissime Academy, made up of 50% professionals from the book, comics and audiovisual professions, and 50% general public readers.
“ What pride for Alma to receive this award. I get to work every morning dreaming of creating lasting literature, which surpasses me… And that is perhaps the definition of Cultissime! » reacted Timothée de Fombellewinner of the Cultissime Book Prize for Alma (Gallimard Jeunesse).
The trophies will be presented during the inauguration ceremony of the Cultissime festival at the Jean-Lurçat museum in Angers.
