Réalmont celebrates the book on Sunday September 29

The Réalmont Book Festival, a cultural event that has become unmissable, will bring together local and regional authors and publishers on Sunday September 29.

The 15th edition of the Festival organized by the Town Hall, in partnership with the intercommunal network of media libraries, will take place on Sunday September 29 in the multipurpose room from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Explanations from Nadège Barthe de la Osa, deputy mayor of Réalmont in charge of culture and responsible for the book fair: “The very essence of this event, free and open to all, is the pleasure shared between readers and those who devote energy and talent to put into words or images the stories that transport us. »

Around sixty authors present

For the 2024 edition, around sixty authors will be present and all literary genres will be represented: novels, essays, historical works, children’s albums, poetry, comics. Among the writers will obviously be the Réalmont novelist Muriel Batave-Matton. Still on the Tarnes authors side, there will notably be the novelists Audrey Marty, Florence Michot, Philippe Gil and Lily Jo, the historical novelist Claude Rey, the historian Max Assié, the innkeeper-slammer Pierre Carayon and the cartophile Jean-Claude Souyri. The publishers Un Autre Reg’, Bleu Pastel, I and I Production and Myl’O Vent will present their works. We will also note the presence of the Revue du Tarn and Jean Gasc, as well as the Société des Sciences Arts et Belles-Lettres du Tarn and Pierre Fèvre and the Entraide Généaologique du Midi Toulousain.

On the program for the day, there will be two conferences: at 10:45 a.m., “Gluten-free food” by Mamie Sosso and at 2:30 p.m., Éric Brout will talk about his novel Devoured by clarity. Two writing workshops will be organized and two youth shows, At the source of happiness And Earthling will be presented. The atypical multidisciplinary artist Cha Toquet will wander the aisles of the show.

In turn sculptor, poet, slammer and street crier, his mission, in addition to expressing his positive poetic attitude towards the event, to animate, with his offbeat verve, the writing workshops and two open stages slam. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the traditional library clearance will be one of the highlights of the event.
