Books from “In a Galaxy Near You” in bookstores September 25

On September 25, the publisher Les Malins will publish the first two volumes of a series of books “where the hand of man has never set foot.”

These books inspired by the crazy world of In a galaxy near you will bring together the complete scenarios of season one, revised and commented by the authors. In a magnificent layout in the colors of the costumes of the different characters, the texts – slightly adapted to suit the format of a book for teenagers (including hilarious stage directions) – will reach a wide audience thanks to their current themes on the environment, climate change and globalization.

Readers, both new and long-time fans, will also be able to read interviews with the two creators, Pierre-Yves Bernard and Claude Legault. They will go back to the origins of their project and tell the behind-the-scenes story.

See pictures of the books at the bottom of the article.

Let us remember that fans of In a galaxy near you have been spoiled in terms of content recently. In the spring, Crave unveiled a four-part documentary series, hosted by Matthieu Pepper, which featured several interviews and reports on the cult series. Read our impressions of this project here.

Then, this fall, the members of Romano Fafard will gather on the set of Les Enfants de la télé to discuss their experience in the famous space shuttle. Note that there is also a comic strip on the adventures of Captain Charles Patenaude’s crew.

Claude Legault also recently told us that he was working on refining the texts of the third film, with a view to submitting it to institutions in December. Could filming take place as soon as summer 2025? Fingers crossed!
