The literary adventure took place during the last Charleroi Book Fair:
“You’re not going to believe me!”this is the name of the choral novel, written live and in public by 17 co-authors, which will be presented this Saturday, December 21 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the UT Langlois library, on the Charleroi upper town campus.
During the autumn book fair in mid-November, Editions du Basson invited around twenty novelists, essayists, poets and journalists to come and challenge themselves in the collective writing of a story whose bases are theirs. would be imposed. It’s up to them to imagine what happens next. Each person took turns sitting at a table in a glass booth and playing the game. For half an hour flat, according to their inspiration of the moment, they took turns in this literary relay race in exquisite corpse mode . Apart from two slight corrections to the final version “to respect consistency”the story holds together. The participants made the effort to align themselves with the same style to write this novel with thriller overtones. In the end, seventy breathtaking pages supplemented by contributions and anecdotes from visitors. The book will be offered for sale at the price of 10 euros during the presentation aperitif this Saturday on campus, but also in bookstores in the region which will accept it on deposit.
