After publishing two works (out of print) on the vineyards of the Valley in 1996 and 2009, Michel Sigrist took a break. Continuing his incessant quest, he digitally photographed these modest and astonishing constructions of wine heritage, from north to south and from east to west of the department. Thus was born Vine lodges in Tourainepublished by Olizel, currently on sale (€28) in many bookstores in Indre-et-Loire and at the Le Montjoyeux tobacco press in .

150 photos “each one more beautiful than the other”

“In this book, we only find lodges, without human elementsinsists the author. The object is really the buildings, their varieties of shapes, materials, their exposure, each more beautiful than the other, restored or not, photographed in the four seasons. All these photos are different from those in previous publications. »

The passionate photographer invites the reader – through 150 magnificent photos and very interesting texts – to explore the vineyard, between vines and hillsides shaped by an unfortunately almost forgotten viticulture, that of the spade and the horse.
